The Draper Days Parade is 1.5 miles in length and heads north on Fort ST starting at Stokes AVE and ending at the intersection with Pioneer RD.
Applications will be posted closer to the event date.
Reserving a spot along the parade route on public property is not allowed prior to 6 PM three days prior to the parade (July 16). Reserving a spot on private property without a property owner’s permission is never permitted.
Obstruction of public sidewalks, paved streets, or private drives is prohibited. Any position that is deemed unsafe or would cause damage to public or private property is also prohibited.
Vehicle or trailer parking is allowed along the parade route after 8 AM the day before the parade (Friday, July 18). All existing city parking regulations remain in effect outside of that window of time. Only motor vehicles that are parade entries are allowed in areas designated for parade staging.
Parade Entries
The following types of entries are not permitted:
Entries that advocate for or against the election or reelection of a particular candidate, or for or against a political issue or ballot proposition
Entries that are not consistent with the purpose of the parade, which is to celebrate the City’s pioneer heritage and sense of community
Entries that, by community standards, divide rather than unite the community
Entries that lack significant historical connection to Draper
Participants may not mount or dismount from any vehicle, float, or trailer, whether moving or stopped, during the parade.
All parade participants marching or walking in the parade must be 13 years of age or older.
Parade limited to no more than 100 entries, application deadline is June 23 or when all 100 entries have been filled.
Maximum height for any part of a parade entry is 13 feet from the ground.
All parade participants or their legal guardians are required to sign a Parade Rules, Release and Waiver document.
Applicants will be notified by email of acceptance.
